The awards are held in order to spread awareness about wildlife conservation since 2015 and with each year it's growing more and more popular.  "It’s been a real success this year, the quality of images has improved substantially and we have had more entries and from more countries," said one of the founders of the competition, photographer Paul Joynson-Hicks.



And while clumsy eagles and laughing hamsters are sure to make you giggle, we shouldn't forget about the cause. Pussy Riot Attacked at McDonald's

Pussy Riot members Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alyokhina have been attacked by five young men at a McDonald's in Nizhny Novgorod on Thursday.  The attackers threw metal objects at the women as they were eating, leaving Alyokhina with "a cut to her forehead," their lawyer said, Interfax reported. Furthermore, Tolokonnikova and Alyokhina sustained injuries to their eyes after an unidentified liquid was thrown in their faces. The women were filing reports with the police, their lawyer said. This is not the first time that the women have been attacked following their January release from prison, where they had been serving two-year sentences for performing an anti-Putin song in Moscow's Christ the Saviour Cathedral. Tolokonnikova and Alyokhina were whipped by Cossack militiamen as they tried to perform a protest song in Sochi during the 2014 Winter Olympics
